Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of a dream—one rooted in dignity, opportunity, and the belief that everyone deserves a voice in shaping their future. That dream remains as vital in Montana as it is across the nation.

The third Monday in January honors Dr. King and calls us to action. It is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service—a perfect moment to volunteer and support causes that matter.

This January 20, 2025, volunteers in Billings, Montana, can join United Way of Yellowstone County and Montana State University to make 1,500 sandwiches for eight local agencies addressing food insecurity. Learn more and sign up.

Across Montana, you can help champion civil rights by volunteering as an election worker or assisting with voter registration. Get involved locally. Sign up with Rock the Vote.

Opportunities for service surround us. Transforming a day off into a day of service reflects Dr. King’s vision of stronger, more unified communities built through action.

As a candidate for the U.S. Senate, I am committed to carrying our community values to Washington—fighting for economic fairness, equal access to healthcare and education, and preserving Montana’s lands and opportunities.

This MLK Day, let’s recommit to Dr. King’s dream of unity and progress. Together, we can build a future worthy of Dr. King’s vision—right here in Montana and across the nation.
